Our Accident & Emergency Department is looking to welcome an experienced Emergency Nurse Practitioner at Musgrove Park Hospital. To deliver patient care including health promotion on a daily basis to emergency patients who present with undifferentiated conditions including life-threatening emergencies, to adults and children and will present unscheduled and unannounced at any time throughout the 24 hour period.
Main duties of the job
The Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) or Emergency Practitioner (EP) will undertake the care and management of patients within the Emergency department (ED). The ENP/EP will offer support, guidance and professional support to the nursing team in ED.
The post holder will be involved in auditing the standards of care being provided by all clinical staff. Continuing professional development will be an integral part of the role. The post holder will act as a role model for colleagues and as an expert resource within the service
