We currently have a vacancy for a full-time Specialty Doctor to work in our Memory Assessment Service in Wolverhampton. The post holder will work with Older Adult Consultant Psychiatrists, SAS Doctors and Junior / Trainee Doctors.

Main duties of the job

This post is within a well-established and supportive service, working both on the inpatient wards and in the community, having retained the Continuity of Care Model. In addition, you will also work closely with psychologists, OT's and Nurses.

The Trust provides all age mental health services from CAMHS to Older Adults. We have shown a strong commitment to delivering excellent and safe services, and pride ourselves on being able to attract and retain the highest quality of medical professionals.

We are a teaching Trust, teaching undergraduates from Birmingham Medical Schools, St Georges Grenada, and are also part of the Black Country training scheme with core and higher specialist trainees from the West Midlands School of Psychiatry. We have a good record of encouraging and supporting specialty doctors if their aim is to achieve postgraduate exams and go on to Higher Specialist Training. There are good opportunities for applicants interested in education and research. Specialty Doctors will cover on average 1:11 out of hours second on-call rota.
