Ward A3 is a 28 bedded mixed sex orthopaedic ward , that cares for patient undergoing both elective and trauma orthopaedic surgery . We are seeking a suitably experienced orthopedic nurse who has a passion about patient safety, staff training and development, strong leadership, by setting examples of the highest standards and the delivery of exceptional quality care to patients . This an exciting time to be joining our fantastic orthopedics specialty team. Our Trauma and Orthopedics Directorate has a reputation for the highest standards of clinical care.

We are fortunate to benefit from a dedicated MDT, and supported by Ortho- geriatricians.

Main duties of the job

You will be an aspiring leader with the ability to adopt a highly accessible and visible approach for patients, relatives and colleagues. You will assist the Ward Manager with the operational management for the team working on the Ward.

You will have the ability to develop a culture of continuous improvement with a particular emphasis on the patient journey and clinical outcomes.Good leadership qualities will be essential for the role.

Maintain professionalism at all times.

Being a role model and a good team player with excellent communication skills.
