An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Band 8B Clinical or Health Psychologist to join our developing Paediatric Psychology team in Lincolnshire. We also have a vacancy for a Band 7-8a within the same team, details of which can be found on our website.
You will be part of an experienced multi-disciplinary team working together to support the delivery of evidence-based assessment and interventions to children and young people (CYP) experiencing psychological impacts of living with diabetes.
This is a newly expanding service and the role will also involve leading the development of a new Long Term Conditions pathway with the aim of improving the mental health, physical health and quality of life of CYP with diabetes and other Long Term Conditions (LTC's).
The post-holder we are seeking will be a highly experienced and highly skilled practitioner, fully registered with the appropriate professional body who can demonstrate leadership in professional and clinical arenas. You will have a breadth of experience in the psychological care of CYP and a passion for shaping service delivery to meet the needs of the local population and improve outcomes for patients.

Main duties of the job
You will provide highly specialist psychology assessments and interventions for children, young people and their families referred to the countywide ULHT Diabetes Team.
You will be expected to be able to engage with and work effectively with children and young people living with chronic health conditions and their carers. You will be able to support and advise multi-disciplinary team colleagues regarding psychological interventions and provide a psychological perspective on physical health provision for these young people. You will lead on the development of a new LTC pathway.
You will have highly specialist training and experience and will be expected to work autonomously within the Health Trust, HCPC and BPS professional guidelines, as well as liaise closely with other professionals and volunteers who work with children and young people and their carers and families.
You will provide supervision and consultation to other professionals as required. You will provide regular placements to trainee psychologists and will use their research skills to undertake research and development and audit activities. You will participate in CPD, LPFT's annual staff appraisal and other developmental activities.

To develop and provide a range of highly specialist clinical psychology assessments and interventions/intervention packages for children and young people and their carers and families referred to the LPFT core CAMHS. Specific areas of expertise to include working with children and young people with complex needs experience of providing highly specialist developmental assessments, including specialist cognitive assessments and life skills and functioning assessments, to help more fully understand the underlying learning difficulties which may be impacting on a child / young persons presentation at home and at school providing group interventions to children, young people and their carers.

To lead on overseeing the attachment pathway within CAMHS, offering highly specialist clinical psychology assessments and interventions as appropriate and overseeing agreed group and individual interventions on this pathway.

- BPS accredited honours degree in Psychology
- A Postgraduate Qualification in Clinical Psychology accredited by the BPS and HCPC
- Additional specialist training related to working with children, young people and their families and carers, including additional specialist training in assessment

- Registered member of HCPC
- Eligible for chartered status as a clinical psychologist
