The Northern Care Alliance are looking for a motivated Highly Specialist Clinical Physiologist to work In the Respiratory / Sleep Service based at Fairfield General Hospital with occasional cross site working at the new Community Diagnostic Centre in Oldham and The Royal Oldham Hospital.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the team at Band 7 level. You will be required to provide and undertake a broad range of respiratory/sleep investigations and work both independently and as part of a team. In addition you will need to provide support to other roles within the Respiratory/Sleep Service.

You will hold a BSc (Hons) Clinical Physiology degree or equivalent and have the appropriate post qualification experience in a range of respiratory/sleep investigations and advanced techniques.

Main duties of the job

Ability to perform a wide range of Respiratory/Sleep investigations and/or have the highest level of specialist skills and knowledge within relevant field. Provide a highly specialised Clinical Respiratory/Sleep Service for a designated area to patients of all ages from a range of specialities which are essentially cardio-thoracic in nature. Undertake interpretation of results and provision of subjective reports. Provide advice to clinicians. Deputise, in conjunction with colleagues from each designated area, in the absence of the service manager to ensure the smooth day to day operation of the service. Participate in the development and training of Clinical Physiologists and other staff within the designated area. Work collaboratively on a day to day basis with colleagues to ensure that the daily workload needs are met.
