We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, experienced paediatric nurse to join the specialist Paediatric Oncology outreach team. The post holder will be working closely with the paediatric oncology team to develop and advance paediatric oncology nursing practice across various care settings.
Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential to this role. You will need to demonstrate a practical, forward thinking approach to service development and evaluation and the ability to work well within a team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will manage a caseload of children and young people alongside the band 7 team leads and MDT, delivering support and chemotherapy for children in their own home.
Routine responsibilities include assessment and management of care of paediatric oncology patients in their own home . To act as a point of contact for families, multidisciplinary team, other hospitals and other agencies in the community for specialist advice and information.
