The Trust is excited to offer a Divisional Finance and Information Manager for the Women's & Children's Division.
We are looking for an enthusiastic leader to join our friendly & inclusive team, playing a pivotal role in shaping what our service delivery will look like in the future and how we can make a difference in the ever changing and challenging finance environment.
This post sits under the leadership of the Finance Business Partner working closely with colleagues in 4 other divisions. The Women's and Children's finance team consist of 8 members of staff, and you will play a vital role in this team and the wider corporate Finance team.
The division has a budget of �105m, employing 1,400 staff over 2 business units.
The Women's and Children's Division at UHDB is a diverse and exciting Division, managing urgent and emergency care, maternity and elective care pathways in Women's and Children's health, across multiple sites in two ICBs.
Main duties of the job
You will lead a team of business unit accountants and management accounts in the delivery of a high quality service for the leaders and managers within the division. This includes all aspects of financial management, overseeing giving expert advice for the business units, supporting the budget holders and working with the wider corporate finance team where matters are highly complex or contentious.
The role will also manage the delivery of accurate and timely monthly performance reports, including forecasts. This will require a combination of analytical review and good communication with budget holders to ensure this is delivered and to enable you to influence future management actions.
Improved efficiency in how we run our services remains a challenging agenda as the Trust embarks on delivering its long term financial strategy. You will play a key part in helping us deliver this. Your insight into the issues facing the division will help us to meet this challenge.
