Trainee/Qualified Hysteroscopy Nurse Specialist
An exciting opportunity has arisen at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford for an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse to join our team as a qualified Nurse Hysteroscopist or a Trainee Nurse Hysteroscopist .
You will need to have a passion and motivation in women's health and Gynaecology alongside a desire to improve patient experience and services.
You will be expected to have the relevant training qualification in diagnostic and therapeutic hysteroscopy or willing to work towards, on the job training and the course will be provided for a successful candidate.
Main duties of the job
The job will entail ensuring a patient-focused, multi-professional approach to care in collaboration with patients, carers, healthcare professionals and other agencies.
You will ensure clinical documentation is completed accurately, appropriately and in a timely manner. You will help to Develop, monitor and maintain standards or care in accordance with Trust policies, guidelines, protocols and professional regulations. You will monitor the quality and effectiveness or the services provided by the organisation according to hysteroscopy standards and guidelines and take appropriate actions to address any shortfalls of escalate appropriately.
You will ensure that operational policies and quality management systems are implemented across the programme (in conjunction with clinical and operational leads). You will be responsible for ensuring equipment is cleaned stored and maintained appropriately.
You will be responsible for the care needs of the women attending gynaecology services and providing holistic nursing care.

Qualifications
Essential
- Registered Nurse, nursing education to degree level/or working towards.
- Post qualification in gynaecology accredited nurse hysteroscopist course/equivilent in experience or willing to work towards.
- Health assessment training
- Post qualification course/training in womens health
Desirable
- Counselling certificate/course
- Leadership course
- Advanced communication skills/course
Experience and Knowledge
Essential
- In depth Knowledge of gynaecology and women's health
- Evidence of managing people and change.
- Evidence of understanding safeguarding in relation to the speciality.
- Understanding of corporate and clinical governance.
Desirable
- Experience with the hysteroscopy service with evidence of enthusiasm and knowledge with in the speciality.

- Experience of performing outpatient hysteroscopy and working in/ running a nurse led outpatient clinic
