Specialty Doctor, Early Intervention (EIS) Psychiatry - Chorley (6PA)
We are looking to recruit a Specialty Doctor to join the Early Intervention Service, based at Euxton Lodge, Chorley. The post is part time (6PA) and fixed term until 1 August 2023. The EIS in Central Lancashire is one of four teams that cover the whole of Lancashire. This post has arisen following a restructure of medical services in the area.
Main duties of the job
The Early Intervention Service aims to enable people with early psychotic experiences to achieve the best possible long term recovery. The post holder will be expected to assess, diagnose and treat patients on the EIS caseload presenting with a range of mental health difficulties. You would be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and expected to provide clinical leadership to the team. EIS is an all-age service.
There are no on call commitments with this post but this can be negotiated as necessary with line manager. Any participation on the 2nd On Call rota would be remunerated with an additional payment.
About us
Potential applicants must possess at least 3 years' experience in psychiatry and be fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice. Ideally, you will be Section 12 Approved, or eligible for approval at the time of commencing employment.
Remuneration will be as set out in the terms of the New Specialty Doctor Contract according to previous experience, based on Six Programmed Activities (PAs) per week.
