The Director of Improvement and Transformation will lead on the strategic case for change across health and social care services in Powys, working closely with the Director of Clinical Strategy, and other stakeholders such as Executive Directors, senior managers, clinicians, staff, and the public.
Across Powys, the post holder will hold ultimate accountability for the delivery of the whole systems transformation programmes, spanning services across Wales and England. Additionally, lead on agreed priorities within the Health and Care Strategy, Integrated Plan, and Integrated Medium-Term Plans, holding Board level responsibility for:
o Transformation
o The North Powys Programme
o The Value Programme
o Service Improvement
Main duties of the job
This is a high-profile role and is pivotal in delivering integrated care within Powys which meets the needs of the population. The post carries specific leadership and performance responsibility for:
o Creating a multi-skilled team to provide Programme Management support to change projects within the organisation.
o Leading and overseeing the detailed assessment exercise and the subsequent implementation of the findings.
o Developing strong relationships with multiple stakeholders across organisations.
o Linking with internal and external expert teams, as well as identifying and drawing on the expertise and contributions from clinical areas across Powys health and social care.
o Linkingwith the Director of Clinical Strategy in order to deliver a programme that is clinically aligned to national standards and meets both quality, and value-based, goals. This will also be required to achieve the high-quality governance necessary in order to deliver specific workstreams and the future programme of work.
