An exciting opportunity has arisen with the medical photography department. We are seeking a compassionate, motivated individual with a degree in medical photography or a degree in photography plus relevant clinical experience. In addition, the successful candidate will be registered/eligible (or qualified to a registered level) with the Institute of Medical Illustrators and Academy for Healthcare Science.
Please note that this is a fixed 12-month maternity cover vacancy. Shortlisted candidates should bring a portfolio of photography work for their interview.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide medical photography, and video, in the photography studio and in outpatient clinics within The James Cook University Hospital. The successful candidate will join another clinical photographer, an imaging support worker, and a MIMS administrator. A thorough understanding of the medical photography department and experience with image databases and editing software is essential.
