We are looking for a motivated, compassionate, and enthusiastic individual to join our team and contribute to the innovative work taking place in Talking Therapies.

You will be working in a supportive environment, providing supervision to Employment Advisors, and will hold a small caseload helping people that are experiencing low mood and/or anxiety with practical employment matters. A key part of this role will include generating and presenting data reports.

Flexibility is essential for this role, with a combination of working remotely from home and travelling across Berkshire as and when required.

Main duties of the job

  • Monitor performance of the Employment Advisors and keep the Employment Service Managers updated on progress and any emerging issues, and work collaboratively to develop solutions
  • Produce and present regular data reports for the service to monitor our performance
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to Employment Advisors
  • Support a small caseload of clients to find work, stay in work, or return to work after sick leave
  • Provide monthly one to one caseload reviews with Employment Advisors to problem solve and identify strategies to help support clients, guiding them individually in best practice
  • Offer support via telephone, video calls (Teams), emails, and face-to-face as needed
  • Offer varied and tailored support to individuals, using tools and resources to empower clients to resolve practical employment issues
  • Research national and local sources of employment support and guidance, adding to the team's bank of resources

There will be a requirement to undertake a short formal study programme.

    Training & Qualifications

    Essential

    • Degree or equivalent experience
    • Coaching or Mentoring Training or equivalent experience
    • Evidence of further study in vocational training, careers advice, job retention and presenteeism


    Desirable

    • Evidence of a good customer services background


    Experience

    Essential

    • Experience of working with and supporting people who have experienced mental health problems
    • Experience of providing vocational/employment support
    • Supervising, mentoring or coaching
    • Monitoring performance and outcomes


    Desirable

    • Experience of partnership working, negotiation and liaison work with other agencies
    • Experience of opening up job opportunities with a range of employers
    • Understanding of the employment needs barriers and difficulties faced by people with MH conditions
    • Experience using patient data capture systems, including running reports

    • Ability to collect and report data to support service performance and evaluation
    • Good numeracy and information management skills
    • Ability to meet agreed/specified service targets
    • Intermediate IT skills
    • Coaching and mentoring skills
    • Knowledge of disability and special needs issues, policies and legislation in relation to employment
    • Good written and verbal communication skills including active listening
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • A good understanding of the principles and practice of supported employment
    • Vocational assessment and profiling skills


    Desirable

    • Knowledge of Employment law and the Equality Act 2010
    • Ability to negotiate with employers on behalf of the service users
    • Ability to be flexible open and creative in problem solving
    • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
    • Awareness of the needs of people with MH conditions. The issues surrounding work and the impact it can have on MH
    • Knowledge of evidence-based interventions to support people with common MH problems remain in, return to & gain work
