Deputy Service Manager - Band 5 (Monday-Friday, Flexible hours between 08.00-17.00 with the option to WFH 1 day a week).

A full-time opportunity has arisen in the Surgery Directorate for a full time Deputy Service Manager to join our busy ENT Department. In particular looking after the Head and Neck Cancer and the Admin team.

We are looking for a confident, well-motivated, pro-active individual to support the delivery of some key projects, both strategically and operationally.

The successful candidate will monitor and ensure delivery of key performance targets and provide support to the Service Manager and Head of Service. The post holder will also have line management responsibility for the administration team.

Working closely with the Management team , you will have excellent communication skills with proven experience of being able to manage multiple demands from different areas. You will have the ability to deal with sensitive situations and conflict in a diplomatic and tactful manner to ensure all stakeholders needs are met.

You will have experience in both leading and delivering elements of projects. You will possess the ability to work under pressure, with excellent planning, time management and organisational skills.

The successful candidate will have the ability to anticipate and manage capacity and performance issues in a timely manner. They will be able to organise and prioritise their own workload against constantly changing demands to meet agreed targets and deadlines.

It is desirable for applicants to be competent in the use of Medway PAS and other hospital systems.
