An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Urology theatres, to recruit a Band 5 ODP/Anaesthetic Nurse (Theatre Practitioner) to join our frindly theatre team. You will be a highly motivated, innovative, and progressive individual committed to the development of yourself, the team, and improving our newly developing service.

You will be joining a pro-active, dynamic team of nurses and ODP's who offer the best standards of perioperative care. Every day is different - challenging but rewarding. We pride ourselves on team work, learning, and being forward thinking.

The hours are 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday 7:30-6pm

You must possess an anaesthetic qualification and be registered with HCPC or have undertaken a recognised University accredited anaesthetic course, if you are a registered nurse.

As the service uses laser and Radiation, you may be required to undertake additional duties to ensure Health and Safety regulations are adhered to.

Please note, that due to ongoing service developments the post holder may be required cross site at our other Theatre Complex with the agreement of the Speciality Team Leader.

Main duties of the job

Expectations are to deliver a high standard of care with patient safety and quality as a priority. You should be able to demonstrate effective team working, work to highest standards and be able to effectively communicate, and work with the multi disciplinary team.

Urology experience is preferable but not essential.

All persons appointed to the post are required to hold registration with their appropriate professional regulatory body and to comply with their professional code of conduct. Evidence of on-going registration will be required. You are required to have a recognised anaesthetic qualification.
