A fantastic opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to join a thriving Clinical Health Psychology Service.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative adaptable clinical/ counselling/health practitioner psychologist keen to develop experience, knowledge and skills in working in Paediatric Cardiology and Paediatric Intensive Care Services .
We are excited to advertise for this 12 month fixed term role as part of an internal team, including lifespan cardiac and critical care psychologists and a consultant lead. The post holder would also work closely with a larger group of psychologists working across the South West and South Wales cardiac psychology network. This wide network offers opportunities to develop skills and competencies in relation to clinical work with service users and staff members, as well as development of wider skills in service development and evaluation, research and quality improvement projects. This wide network offers broad CPD opportunities and support for all of its psychologists.

Main duties of the job
To provide psychology services into a tertiary cardiac and critical care service including direct and indirect clinical work.
As a large department Psychological Health Services provides clinical psychology services to a wide range of specialist multidisciplinary teams. Although the current recruitment is for a specific post, we welcome applications and enquiries from those who are interested in wider opportunities within our portfolio. - To provide psychological services including assessment, formulation and implementation of psychological interventions for children/ young people and their families within the cardiac service.
- Deliver these services in ward-based and out-patient settings as needed.
- Provision of psychological advice, consultation, training, and support for other professionals working across this care pathway as assigned by the Specialist Clinical Psychologist, Cluster Lead or Head of Services
- Support with development and evaluation of the service.

- Postgraduate doctorate in clinical psychology (or equivalent if trained prior to 1996) recognised for registration by the HCPC as Practitioner Clinical Psychologist
- Current registration with HCPC as required in- HCPC Practitioner Registration

- Experience of clinical work with children adolescents or adults
- Experience of presenting psychological formulations, assessments and interventions to multi-professional teams
