Would you like to be at the forefront of exciting new developments within eating disorders. Do you have a passion to work in an eating disorders specialism?

The Eating Disorders Service provides specialist treatments for adults with a diagnosis of Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and/or Atypical Eating Disorders in the community on an outpatient basis across the county. We have an intensive day treatment programme for low weight individuals and for those who may be at higher risk of admission due to their eating difficulties.

We are seeking a skilled Nurse to join our dedicated Eating Disorders Service in Lincolnshire. This is an opportunity for you to work as part of an enthusiastic and motivated multi-professional team and be innovative in your approach to supporting this patient group.

The team consists of a Team Co-ordinator/Nurse Specialist; Consultant Psychiatrist; Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist; Freed Co-ordinator, Nurse Specialist; Dietitians, Assistant Practitioner, Community Support Workers; Medical Secretary and Team Secretaries. We have strong links with the CAMHS Eating Disorders Service and Trust Dietetic Service. We are actively involved with Nottingham and Lincoln Universities, supporting their clinical training and research.

The service provides the latest in evidence based NICE psychological interventions to adults with an eating disorder. The team’s multi-disciplinary approach to the assessment and treatment of individuals is a real strength.

The postholder will work within a well-established team however you will be required to deliver an autonomous service as part of your role, operating within professional guidelines and the overall framework of Trust’s policies and procedures.

The postholder will be expected to provide a high standard of specialist clinical care, within a Community Eating Disorders Service, using effective assessments, evidence-based treatments via clinical pathways and comprehensive discharge planning. You will deliver NICE recommended evidence based psychological interventions for eating disorders, provide robust risk assessment and management plans, taking appropriate therapeutic risk. You will manage a caseload and service delivery in accordance with and in order to contribute towards the attainment of, the Service/Trust productivity requirements, including waiting times. We work closely with CAMHS Eating Disorders Service and you will be required to provide joint working and transitions from CAMHS eating disorder services asappropriate.

We are committed to staff development and the post holder will receive regular management and clinical supervision.

The postholder’s main base will be dependent on your location. The service is countywide and therefore the post holder is expected to be able to work in other locations providing face to face clinical interventions and attending meetings dependent on service need and demand. The Trust is also open to remote and flexible working possibilities as part of this role and dependant on business/service needs. The trust also makes use of digital technology that allows for remote working when appropriate.
