An opportunity has arisen for a Registered Mental Health Professional to join South Powys LPMHSS Team. Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, RNMH's and Psychologists are all eligible to fill this role.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for delivering the five functions of Part One of the Mental Health Wales (2010) Measure providing consultation (advice and information) to Primary Care professionals, service users and carers delivering high quality, brief evidence based psychological interventions for individuals with mild to moderate mental health difficulties and supporting onward referral. This service is delivered remotely or in GP practices or PTHB premises within South Powys.
The LPMHSS is a psychologically minded service with a strong commitment to clinical governance agenda and with regular access to training and continued professional development.
The LPMHSS is an age inclusive service working with people across the life span.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.
The post-holder will manage their own caseload and have a willingness to work in a variety of locations and be accountable for first follow up appointments, and on-going short term psychological therapies, incorporating planning, delivering and evaluation of clients, utilising the LPMHSS systems and procedures to record outcomes and data collection.
