We are excited to share an amazing opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to undertake a new and emerging role and be at the forefront of developing Occupational Therapy Services within the North Shropshire Primary Care Network.

As an experienced Occupational Therapist you will have an opportunity to work in collaboration with your primary care colleagues and develop this exciting role which has a clinical focus for patients with Long Term Conditions with the aim of promoting self-management.

The post holder will be based in North Shropshire PCN becoming an integral part of the practice network and join their expanding primary care practitioner team.

The role for Occupational Therapists in primary care and GP surgeries is growing. Government policies are expanding teams in primary care to reduce the burden on GPs. Pilot sites in Scotland and Wales have led the way and are now being replicated in England. Some services see any patients experiencing difficulties engaging in their occupations of daily living, the focus of this post is working with people with Long Term Conditions

This post is hosted by Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust and the successful applicant will be employed by and gain all the benefits of working for this organisation such as Professional and Clinical Leadership support, supervision from qualified experienced OTs and opportunities to link with other colleagues in similar roles across Staffordshire.
