An excellent opportunity for a substantive B6 Specialty Manager role has arisen within the Bristol Dermatology Centre based in the Bristol Royal Infirmary. The role is based on full time hours (37.5 hours per week) . We are seeking a committed and motivate person, ideally someone already in a performances based role who is looking to develop their management skills, to come and join the dermatology team.

Main duties of the job
- To act as point of contact for the senior management team in reference to the day-to-day management of Dermatology at the Bristol Royal Infirmary.
- To manage all aspects (including performance) of the outpatients & surgical booking teams, performance validation for the Dermatology Department.
- To manage and support the Speciality Manager in the delivery of cancer services including all peripheral and outreach areas and supporting trust cancer targets.
- To work with the Specialty Manager to ensure that best practice booking of patients in outpatient services is always maintained, and to assist in the achievement of all relevant performance targets.
- Monitor clinic utilisation as well as DNA and cancellation rates. Work to maximise efficiency and utilisation and liaise with clinicians and other departments to arrange additional capacity as required.
- To be responsible for ensuring thorough validation of patients for the areas of responsibility on active and deferred waiting lists. Close management of the Patient Tracking Lists, this is to include data quality of outpatient activity, cancer targets and on the day cancellations and rebooks. To be reported on weekly with clear plans at patient level detail to the senior management team/s
