To provide professional leadership for health visiting ensuring safe and effective quality of care is delivered within the resources available while ensuring the care environment is organised to meet the needs of the patient enhancing their experience and supporting staff to meet the Divisional and Trust objectives through:
  • The provision of visible, authoritative professional leadership support and direction for health visiting and by ensuring standards of practice and care are set and maintained.
  • Ensuring that safe, high quality clinical services are delivered in line with national policy, Trust priorities, available evidence, and patient care needs.
  • Lead programmes of improvement work related to patient harm, falls, pressure ulcer prevention and to support the delivery of the Trust and directorate clinical governance

Plan, deliver and evaluate interventions and or treatments when there are complex issues including safeguarding and SEND.

Test and review new concepts, models, methods practices whilst working in partnership with other stakeholders.

Coordinate, monitor and review the use of financial resources.

Plan, develop, monitor and review the recruitment, deployment and management of people.

Facilitate the development of capacity and capability.

Provide clear leadership across the services.

Support the development of business cases as appropriate.

This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as an Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC PIN within the next 3 months. Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.
