Ealing IAPT is seeking to recruit a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) who have undertaken the specialist PWP IAPT training and are looking to progress their career as part of our supportive and highly regarded team. We have a very well-established step 2 team, consisting of trainee and qualified PWPs. We provide a wide range of CBT-based interventions, such as groups, one to one sessions (face to face and telephone), and online therapy (cCBT), in addition to the telephone and face to face assessments. Main duties of the job

Senior PWPs have clinical variety and deliver sessions over the telephone, face-to-face, online, and in groups. There is a need to be able to work flexibly, with sessions in different locations across Ealing and Southall.

In order to provide a service which is accessible to our clients, all staff are required to provide an evening session. We will consider part-time hours for the right candidates.

Essential

• IAPT Low Intensity worker/Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner qualification

Desirable

• An upper second class honours degree or higher in Psychology.
• Entitlement to graduate membership of the British Psychological Society
• Further post graduate training in relevant areas of professional psychology, mental health practice and/or research design and analysis

Experience

Essential

• Significant experience in working with people with mental health problems and/or other disabilities
• Ability to demonstrate substantial post qualifying experiences in offering and delivering the range of evidence based IAPT low intensity interventions such as CCBT, Guided Self -help & workshops
• Consolidated & reflective supervised post qualifying experience within an IAPT Service

Desirable

• Experience of paid work as an Assistant Psychologist or Graduate Mental Health worker, with supervision from an applied Psychologist
• Experience in providing supervision to others within a therapy/helping profession setting
• Experience of working with clients who present with risk to self
• Experience of working with individuals whose children are subject to Child Protection legislation
• Experience of co -working with staff in other agencies (e.g. health visitors or staff in drug and alcohol services)
