An exciting opportunity as arisen within the Long Term Care Team in Primary Care & Therapies Service Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the effective implementation and governance of the Health Board's policy on long term care, including Continuing Health Care and Funded Nursing Care.
Main duties of the job
The Long Term Care Manager is accountable within the appointing area, however, will be required to work in partnership across the Health Board to develop consistent approaches and make best use of the skills and expertise that are available in the best interests of the organisation. The individual will manage a diverse team of staff and have responsibility for a significant delegated budget.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications
Essential
- registered nurse
- degree level or equivalent
- Master's degree or working towards
- postgraduate management qualification or professional qualification or equivalent experience
Desirable
- Management qualification or equivalent experience as degree course with management component
- ECDL qualification
- ability to speak Welsh
Knowledge
Essential
- currently working within long term care services
- in-depth knowledge of FNC & CHC framework and guidance
- up to date knowledge of challenges facing NHS and policy context within Wales
Experience
Essential
- management role for minimum 3 years
- Experience of working effectively with partners, stakeholders and the public to deliver change.
- Experience of financial planning and the ability to manage budgets effectively to meet financial targets.
