An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced clinical manager to join the new Wave 9 Hounslow Mental Health Support Team (0.5 part-time). We want to hear from CAMHS professionals with significant experience of day to day operational leadership, and offering supervision and line management to clinicians.
It is essential you hold a relevant clinical qualification and have previous experience of working in a CAMHS team. Experience of working in education would be a bonus. You will be responsible for the delivery of a high quality and responsive CAMHS service, including implementation and review of systems, policies, standards and procedures within frameworks agreed by the Trust, partner agencies and commissioners.
Main duties of the job
This role is a chance to make a difference in young lives, and as such includes both operational management and clinical duties.
The main focus is to:
Provide day to day senior operational management and leadership for the clinical functioning of the MHST's whilst working alongside service leaders to develop and implement a wide range of interventions and projects with local schools.
Lead on and directly providing comprehensive assessment, risk management and interventions for young people experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties.
Work with school staff and cultures in developing school environments that are more conducive to supporting sustainably better emotional health and wellbeing.

Hounslow was one of the first sites to benefit from significant investment to develop a trailblazer MHST, as outlined in the Young People's Mental Health Green Paper. Hundreds of CYP have now accessed guided self- help and group work support, with encouraging feedback and clinical outcomes. We are excited to set up our 4th MHST enabling us reach more schools and focus on early intervention and prevention.
Each team currently comprises Band 5 Education Wellbeing Practitioners and Children's Wellbeing Practitioners, high intensity CBT Therapists, a CAMHS Specialist MH Practitioner/ Supervisor and Team Lead. The teams are overseen by the MHST Managers and supported by a Team Administrator.
All new employees are provided with the necessary training, equipment and support during this period. The successful candidate will be supported in completing the CYP-IAPT Supervisor training which is essential for the role.

The successful applicant will be supported to maintain their professional registration and will have access to support/supervision from colleagues from within their discipline, if applicable. We offer high quality supervision, with excellent CPD and career development opportunities.
The post holder will work alongside the Team Leads for Hounslow Central, East and West areas and work closely with the Team Managers on service wide projects. The role requires travel to partner schools and Trust sites. In line with the Trusts Agile Working Policy, the team are currently taking a blended approach by working remotely and face to face, as required.

- Qualification in an appropriate mental health profession (such as Nursing, Social Work, OT, Counselling or Clinical Psychology, Family Therapy or Child Psychotherapy) and registration with relevant UK governing body. or To be fully accredited by the BABCP as a CBT practitioner.
- Specialist knowledge acquired at Masters level, or equivalent experience (e.g. short specialist courses, clinical supervision or further specialist training).
