Would you like the opportunity to join the leadership team of a specialist veteran mental health team?
We are looking for an experienced Clinical Service Manager to join our lively and passionate mental health team supporting veterans and reservists presenting with mental health problems, and their families. Some of our team have a personal connection to veteran's, either with a military background or holding a close relationship with someone who does.
As Clinical Service Manager your role will be across both clinical leadership and operational management. You will be a member of the leadership team, able to lead on workstreams which have a direct influence on the quality of clinical delivery.
We cover Kent, Surrey and Sussex and deliver assessments, support and psychological therapy within our Op Courage team. This post will be service wide covering all three areas, we encourage applicants based in any of the three counties.
We support veterans with a range of mental health needs ranging from anxiety and depression to complex PTSD.
Main duties of the job
To provide highly specialist clinical practice within Op Courage South East working with the most complex presentations.
To provide operational leadership (including Line Management) to members of the service.
To provide clinical leadership and clinical supervision to the nursing staff within the service.
To provide clinical leadership to other practitioners within the service as required and appropriate.
To contribute to and assist in the development and co-ordination of effective audit and reporting tools for clinical supervision, practice and activity, within the service
To support the delivery of highly specialist training and education and close partnership working with external educational providers.
To contribute to the horizontal integration of veteran's mental health treatment with primary and community services.

Qualifications
Essential
- Registered Nurse with current registration (mental health / LD/ Adult) appropriate to the job role
- Degree/diploma level supplemented by specialist qualification, training, experience, courses to masters level equivalent relevant to the care group
- Evidence of post registration training in relevant service area
- Completion of Mentorship Course/ENB equivalent
Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Extensive post qualifying experience in relevant service area
- Able to manage a caseload of patients with complex mental health needs
- Comprehensive knowledge of interventions specific to service area
- Experience of working in a range of mental health settings.
- Capacity to work with different professions and disciplines
- Ability to organise own caseload effectively, prioritising a complex range of tasks and responsibilities to meet agreed deadlines
- Ability to offer consultation and supervision to trainees and colleagues and non professional groups
- To provide evidence of a commitment to continuing professional developments as recommended by appropriate professional body
- Ability to provide specialist information to aid service development and policy decisions
- To undertake such research as is appropriate to clinical practice and contribute to service audit and evaluation
- Extensive experience of and demonstrable achievement in managing health/social care services
- Experience of developing and maintaining effective partnerships with stakeholders
- Experience of managing a diverse practitioner team (multi site)
- Measurable track record in involving and motivating staff to improve performance
