Nurse Colposcopist
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated Nurse Colposcopist with BSCCP accreditation. Based in the Gynae Outpatient Department at the Royal London Hospital, you will work in a multidisciplinary team alongside our current nurse specialists and medical team, independently performing colposcopy, providing information and support to women. As well as participate in service and patient experience.
The position is part time 2 days a week. Our ideal candidate will have initiative and drive and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Main duties of the job
oTo monitor and improve standards of care through supervision of practice, clinical audit, utilising evidence based and reflective practice, teaching and supporting professional colleagues and by the provision of skilled professional leadership
oTo act in accordance with the NMC and/or other professional bodies Code of Professional Conduct
oTo contribute to clinical governance within Women's Health by undertaking audit and research within the specialist fields
oTo exercise a level of judgement, discretion and decision making in clinical care ensuring continuity and high quality service provision to the client groups

- Registered general nurse Up to date NMC registration BSCCP accreditation in diagnostic/ therapeutic colposcopy
Experience

- Has at least 2 years' experience of working in Women's Health and Colposcopy Accredited diagnostic/ therapeutic colposcopist
- Has experience in the management of patients undergoing gynaecological and/or surgical procedures
Skills

- Ability to work effectively within a team and liaise with other professional groups
- Articulate with advanced written and spoken communication skills
- Can prove an ability to motivate and lead others
- Good organisational skills and ability to solve problems
- Demonstrates attention to detail in working practices
