An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Band 6 nurses on 7D Paediatric Assessment and Short Stay Unit in the Royal London Children's Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust.
There is one full time position and x1 fixed term maternity leave cover available from August 2024 to August 2025.
PASSU is fast paced, with a varied patient profile, providing high quality nursing care for Babies, Children and Young People under different specialities including, General Paediatrics, Paediatric Oncology, Orthopaedics and General Paediatric Surgery. The ethos of the unit is working in partnership with the children and their families.
The post holder will have every opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge, working closely with all multi-disciplinary team members. Staff are also encouraged and given the opportunity to continue their professional development through attendance on relevant courses with both City and Southbank Universities.
Barts Health has a busy and demanding Children's service requiring staff to be flexible in their working. The post holder will be required to work within a challenging clinical environment and undertake shift work which will include nights and weekends.

To provide clinical leadership to a designated nursing team ensuring the delivery of the highest standard of individualised family centred care to children and their families in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team.
