We are excited to be able to advertise for several key roles in our newly refurbished inpatient unit within the Bay Locality, We are looking for clinical leads, staff nurses and heath care support workers.

You willwill be based within the Bay locality in the newly refurbished Kentmere ward, which will offer 12 en suite bedrooms newly designed and with care and attention paid to provide a state of the art therapeutic environment.

We are looking for highly motivated, pro-active individuals who have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, lots of initiative and who are looking for their next challenge. You will demonstrate the required nursing skills, along with the desire to develop services and provide excellent nursing care and patient centred services

Main duties of the job

On a day to day basis, you will focus on the clinical assessment of needs of patients, including risk assessment and management, therapeutic interventions, care planning and ensuring patients and their carers, friends and family are involved in the care planning process. Your new role involves a high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality, negotiation and communication skills, understanding and compassion, and the ability to deal with any challenging situations that may arise.

Job description Job responsibilities

You will be a registered mental health or learning disability nurse. Senior roles will be responsible for the management and leadership of other staff with in the ward. While this is a demanding and busy role, you will be required to be able to demonstrate the Trust values and standards of behaviour expected by the organisation and meet the responsibilities of the job description and person specification.

Experience Essential
  • Experience of working within an Inpatient setting
  • Experience of assessing, planning and implementing and reviewing care needs
  • Experienced in acting as a mentor/assessor of student staff
Knowledge Essential
  • An understanding and awareness of the NHS Plan, NSF and other relevant documentation
  • Demonstrate understanding of how research has influenced practice
Skills & Abilities Essential
  • Clear ability to understand new concepts and ideas and excellent clinical practice
  • Demonstrates an ability to motivate self and others
  • Ability to maintain own performance and participation in group skills
