Surrey Downs Health and Care are looking for an experienced, credible and visible manager with experience of leadership at service level to join the Surrey Downs Health & Care as the General Manager for Interface Services . The post holder will work with Place Partners to remove barriers in pathways, integrating services where it promotes best practice and clinical outcomes. Main duties of the job
The General Manager for the Interface Services manages own portfolio of services to support the COO in ensuring the provision of high quality patient services that are clinically sound, delivered cost effectively and meet the SDHC's priorities and performance targets.
The role is expected to provide strong local leadership to your areas of responsibility and deputise for the Senior leaders in SDHC in their absence. You will be expected to balance strategic plans with operational needs and robust delivery.
The General Manager will support the Senior Leadership Team to provide strategic leadership at divisional level, ensure that there are appropriate systems and processes within the interface services to enable staff to deliver good quality clinical care and drive forward the service improvement agenda to achieve efficiency gains and improve the operational effectiveness of the services.

Job responsibilities
Specifically the General Manager will:
Take day to day responsibility and accountability for the operational running of a group of services that sits under the Home First Services. The services/pathways include 2-hour UCR, Virtual Ward, Integrated Transfer of Care Hub - Discharge to Assess Pathway, Recovery@Home Team, Care Home Liaison Team and the Integrated Frailty and Rehabilitation unit.
The post holder will take an active leadership role of development of the Frailty Pathway across system partners.
They will also hold accountability for a portfolio of transformation programmes as part of the wider Place partnership, ensuring delivery of system priorities.
Lead the Division to ensure national and local targets are achieved and that they meet the needs of the local community and the wider NHS and fulfil commissioner agreements.
Support the Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement plans to deliver the relevant SDHC & Trust objectives as required.
Monitor and manage performance within your areas to ensure that patient-centred services are of a consistently high standard.
Holds budgets for component services with accountability for overall budget setting and achieving financial targets
Provide leadership and management to both direct and indirect reports across multiple services within the division.
Establish strong links with the wider health and social care community by securing their involvement in the effective delivery of services.
Have a strong knowledge of service improvement methodologies and keep these at the forefront of service developments.

- Educated to master's level or equivalent professional qualification and level of experience of working at a senior level in a specialist area.
- Further evidence of management/leadership training and continuous professional development

- Relevant Postgraduate qualification in a management discipline
Previous Experience and knowledge

- Experience at a senior level in a complex environment, including a sound understanding of the performance and governance requirements of the NHS for acute and or community Trusts, working in multi agency partnership services
- Considerable operational experience in an integrated care environment
- Experience of financial management and rigorous financial management and control to meet agreed targets
- Experience of leading change to achieve continuous improvement
- Evidence of a collaborative management style coupled with improving quality of service provision
- Specialist knowledge across a range of disciplines, specifically strategy, planning and integration
