What you'll do- Ensure a high standard of care for level 1 and level 2 post operative patients and safe transfer to critical care unit/other area- Health and physical abilities sufficient for the post (with reasonable adjustments with respect to the Equality Act/Disability Discrimination Act)- Work with Medical staff and multi-disciplinary team to ensure patient safety and treatment are carried out asper Trust policies- Able to communicate effectively, in person and written, in all situations with wide range of people, Full use of IT systems- Able to work unsupervised using own initiative and ability to prioritise workload in challenging situation- Maintain accurate records of observation, treatment and patient care.- Get involved with Education team, support junior staff and get engaged with link roles in the unit- Able to demonstrate behaviours that meet the Trust Values - Patient First, Working Together and Always Improving

- Degree or equivalent experience

- Relevant resus qualification, ie Immediate Life Support
- Specialist theatre work-based learning course, or mentorship course, post-qualification.

- Has the ability to assist in carrying out the transfer of a patient through the intraoperative phase of perioperative care, giving concise accurate handover
- Demonstrate knowledge of the skills required to support learners in practice and to create a positive learning environment

- Understanding of personal accountability.
