We have an exciting opportunity for a senior CBT practitioner to join our RISE team.

You will work within our core specialist mental health teams to deliver clinically effective, young person focused services. You will provide high quality supervision to other clinicians within the service. You will receive excellent support and opportunities for continuing professional development and training in line with service objectives. We have a robust clinical supervision structure in place. You will be actively encouraged to participate in service development and leadership projects

Main duties of the job

The Senior CYP CBT Practitioner will hold responsibility for:

Providing supervision to designated CBT Therapists within the service.

Providing high quality CBT assessment, formulation and intervention for children and young people presenting with complex mental health difficulties and co-morbidities.

Providing CBT consultation to colleagues and professionals within and outside of the service.

Identifying and delivering, together with the CBT clinical lead, CPD relevant to CBT therapists and Children's Wellbeing Practitioners.

Working closely with clinical lead to drive audit, service evaluation and research to inform service and practice development.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • Masters level qualification or recognised equivalent qualification such as the Postgraduate Diploma in CBT.
  • Doctoral degree in:- Systemic Family Psychotherapy , Psychotherapy , Psychology


Knowledge and Skills

Essential

  • Specialist knowledge of all the evidence-based CBT models, evidence for their use and detailed knowledge of common mental health problems.
  • Working knowledge of arrangements for children's health services and early help including knowledge of legislation, SEND, statutory guidance, government policy, practice guidance and best practice.
  • Ability to implement local policies and procedures relating to children and families.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence others including presentation, oral, written and IT skills.


Experience

Essential

  • Post qualifying experience in CAMHS.
  • Has extensive experience working as a qualified CBT practitioner and delivering CBT interventions to children and young people.
  • Substantial experience in a supervisory role with the ability to supervise, mentor, and support staff.
  • Expertise in collecting and evaluating clinical outcomes and data
