The Adult of working age Acute inpatient team Wythenshawe are looking to recruit an Occupational Therapist who has experience of working within mental health services.
The applicant will manage a defined caseload of service users. They will provide management and clinical supervision to junior members of the team.
The applicant will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure excellent standards of mental health and person centred care are achieved.
Main duties of the job
Occupational therapy assessment, Intervention, formulation and planning.
Deliver evidence based therapeutic groups
Multi-disciplinary team working.
Supporting junior member of the team through supervision, role modelling, case formulation and journal club.Support the lead Occupational therapist with service development and promotion of occupational therapy.

Person Specification

Essential
- Experience of working as an Occupational Therapist in mental health and in a relevant specialist mental health field.
- Application of the occupational therapy process with designated client group
- Experience of working with clients with a range of physical health problems, including provision of equipment and minor aids
- Experience of audit and research procedures.
- Ability to use appropriate media to access and analyse professional and ethical issues
