We are excited to announce 'Active Together' is coming to Rotherham. This is a Pre-habilitation and Rehabilitation Service funded by Yorkshire Cancer Research to improve outcomes for Cancer patients. Active Together has already been implemented in Sheffield and several other centres and has proven to be very successful. This is a new service and you will be instrumental in supporting the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of the Active Together Service for Rotherham. This services will form part of Care Group 4 encompassing Therapies & Dietetics where this services will be supported.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a keen interest in rehabilitation who has excellent communication and organisational skills. The successful candidate should be able to prioritise work, meet deadlines and work under pressure. To be successful you will
  • Be an experience Physiotherapist with a keen interest in the prehabilitation and rehabilitation of patients.
  • Drive the development and implementation of a new service
  • Meet challenging targets and objectives
  • Be motivated to provide high quality care
  • Be a team player

In return, the successful candidate will be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, receive regular supervision and have an opportunity to gain further skills.

Essential

  • Demonstrates an ability to prioritise own, junior and support staff workload and meet required timescales
  • Responds appropriately to urgent and emergency situations


Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree in Physiotherapy
  • Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the county and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.


Knowledge

Essential

  • Evidence of clinical expertise and knowledge to Post graduate Diploma level developed through CPD and experience
  • Knowledge and experience of using standardised assessments and development of relevant outcome measures
  • Demonstrates knowledge of equipment available and able to assess and fit where applicable
  • Knowledge and understanding of national legislation, guidance and regulatory framework including NSF, NICE, Information Governance, Equality and Diversity, Data Protection, Safe Guarding, Professional and Clinical Guidelines.
  • Knowledge of Clinical Governance and implications for patient care
  • Knowledge and evidence of participation in clinical audit and evidence gathering methods
  • Demonstrates skills & ability in use of computer packages on a regular basis.


Analytical and Judgement

  • Ensures the collection of data and analyses data in order to inform decision making within therapy services


Desirable

  • Ability to reflect and critically appraise own performance and that of others


Experience

Essential

  • Clinical experience of working within a rehabilitation setting/group work/providing education.
  • Experience of user/carer participation and engagement in review/development of services
  • Up to date documented evidence of CPD relevant to clinical area
