Specialised Physiotherapist in Community Neurology - Fixed term 1 yearThis post provides an exciting opportunity to work in the CLCH community neurorehabilitation service in the borough of Kensington & Chelsea.The post holder will be a member of the dynamic multi-disciplinary community neuro team, working with a mixed caseload of clients, including early supported stroke discharge and progressive neurological conditions. The service provides client-centred intervention for individuals within their homes, clinic settings and the wider community.
Main duties of the job
Applicants should have experience in the assessment and treatment of stroke and other neurological conditions. You will be responsible for the assessment and management of individuals to promote their independence and support long-term management of their condition.You will be required to communicate complex needs across a number of agencies and provide training to junior staff.You should have good organisational skills, a commitment to multi-disciplinary working and an understanding of working alongside social services and voluntary agencies.
The post is well supported by a team lead and highly specialist neurological therapists from within CLCH. There will be significant opportunities for development of your neuro -rehabilitation skills through regular supervision, in-service training and joint working opportunities.

Essential
- Current Physiotherapist with UK HCPC registration
- Experience of working with neurological patients in delivery of rehabilitation packages or in a rehab setting at Band 5 level.
- Documented evidence of professional development and reflective practice in relevant aspects of neurological rehabilitation e.g. attendance at in-service training sessions, reflective practice
Desirable
- Attendance at relevant post-graduate neurological training courses e.g. spasticity management , exercise prescription, splinting, postural management.
- Experience of working in a neurological rehabilitation setting at band 6 level.
