About us
Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust is an integrated health care organisation based in the West Midlands predominantly serving almost 280,000 residents in the borough of Walsall and the surrounds. Our geographical position in the West Midlands has meant that we have seen more patients choosing to use our services from the Stafford area following the reconfiguration of services at the former Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust.
We are seeking to appoint an additional highly specialised cardiac physiologist who will be working in echocardiography or device specialism but will also support other aspects of the service.
The Cardiology Department is part of a multi-discipline Clinical Measurement Unit in a busy community/acute integrated District General Hospital. The department is situated in a purpose-built unit providing a wide range of services including ECGs, ambulatory ECG and BP monitoring, Exercise ECG including Myoview, Echo Systems with storage and analysis system, Pacemaker implant and follow-up including ICDs and CRTs, Angiography and Treadmill Doppler Studies.
Applicants for this post must have current BSE TTE accreditation (or equivalent) and/or BHRS and have experience of all DGH Cardiological procedures, together with a relevant professional qualification and ILS/ALS. Opportunities are available to further develop your skills.
