An exciting opportunity has arisen in our dynamic therapy team. We are looking for 0.6 WTE Band 7 Head & Neck Speech and Language Therapist.
This is an excellent opportunity to lead on evidence-based assessment and intervention for patients with head and neck cancers, across the care pathway. You will be a flexible, team-player with proven skills in providing specialist intervention including FEES, Videofluoroscopy and surgical voice restoration. You will be working in our ENT Head and Neck Speech Therapy Team, alongside a Clinical Specialist B8a and B6 H& N Therapist. The MDT consists of ENT Consultants, Dieticians and Clinical Nurse Specialists.
Additionally, part of this role involves being a clinical tutor for a B4 SLT Apprentice, working collaboratively with other clinical tutors within the service and relevant academic tutors.
The Speech and Language Therapy Service in East & North Hertfordshire is an integrated acute and community service covering community clinics, inpatient Neurological Rehabilitation and the Acute and Stroke teams based at the Lister Hospital. There are frequent opportunities for gaining skills in other areas and career progression.

- An appropriate qualification to practise as a Speech and Language Therapist.

- In depth knowledge of appropriate therapeutic interventions and an ability to analyse comparative benefits for clients (as above).

- Experience in the provision of training to a wide range of groups/people.
