  • We have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join us on Marnham ASHU, a 28 bedded acute short stay medical ward for older patients.
  • This is a chance to develop your skills as part of a highly capable team where you're guaranteed opportunities to learn.
  • Working days are Mon- Friday.


Main duties of the job

  • To ensure the provision of excellent nursing care and effective management of patient discharges.
  • Through a holistic approach to assessment of their individual needs and coordination and liaison with both Primary and Secondary multidisciplinary health care teams.
  • To ensure patient discharge care needs are assessed, planned implemented and evaluated using research evidence as appropriate.
  • To provide leadership to facilitate excellent nursing care that promotes rehabilitation, patient independence and therefore earlier discharge from hospital.
  • To ensure all nursing procedures are carried out in accordance with Trust policies taking appropriate action in emergency situations.
  • To have responsibility for the Health, Safety and Welfare of self and others and to comply at all times with the requirement of the Health and Safety Regulations.
  • To ensure confidentiality at all times, only releasing confidential information obtained during the course of employment to those acting in an official capacity in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act and its amendments
