We are looking for a Macmillan Primary Cancer Care Nurse Facilitator.

The role is a great opportunity to join up care between the voluntary sector, primary, community care and secondary care to ensure patients and those important to them receive high quality and experience of care.

Education, Qualifications and Training

Essential

  • oRegistered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
  • oFirst level degree in related subject or equivalent experience in specialist area
  • oEvidence of continued professional development
  • oRecognised teaching, assessing and/or supervising qualification


Desirable

  • oPost-registration qualification in cancer care or relevant subject
  • oPractice or community qualification/experience
  • oResearch qualification
  • oMSc in relevant area or equivalent experience in specialist area
  • oHealth coaching skills
  • oAdvanced Communication
  • oPsychological Level 2 Skills
  • oHealth couching qualification


Experience

Essential

  • oSignificant post-registration experience
  • oExperience of working with people with long term conditions
  • oExperience of teaching
  • oLeadership and management experience
  • oExperience of multi-professional working
  • oExperience of audit and research

  • oExperience in cancer care
