We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Community Staff Nurse to work within our Generic multi-disciplinary team based in the Anglesey Area . The post holder will support the Health Visiting Team to provide a service based on the Healthy Child Wales Programme as indicated by Welsh Government. They will support the health visitors by carrying out delegated work and providing parenting support to families, whilst contributing to the delivery and organisation of the public health programme.
This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months to meet the needs of the service.
This will be reviewed towards the end of the contract.
This post should be seen as a development post, with the successful candidate applying for the SCPHN training course.

Main duties of the job

Based within the community setting the Community Staff Nurse will be responsible for assessment, planning implementation and evaluation of care offered to families under the supervision of the Delegated Health Visitor. They will be responsible for co-ordinating and managing their own work load and delivering evidenced based practice to families, delivering the Healthy Child Wales Contacts.
We offer an induction and preceptorship programme and the post holder will receive regular managerial supervision, and safeguarding supervision from our Clinical Nurse Specialist Safeguarding.
This post may be seen as a developmental post, with the applicant possibly applying for the SCPHN training in the future.
The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post.
