An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Community Nurse to join our Wrexham and Flintshire Overnight District Nursing Service.

Overnight shift hours will be 10.30 pm - 8.00 amand the post holder will be required to support and deputise for the Team Leader in all appropriate management dutiesand be flexible to meet the needs of the service. This will include management hours to be worked during the day.

The post holder will be responsible to Band 7 Team Leader.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care in the community. They will be required to work collaboratively with District Nursing Teams across East Area to provide nursing care during the out of hours periods.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications and / or Knowledge

Essential

  • 1st Level Nurse NMC Registered
  • Evidence of a Degree level qualification or working towards this within an agreed time frame
  • Evidence continuing professional development

  • Mentor / supervisor / assessor
