Providing a first-class, professional service to all our stakeholders ie Consultants, Patients and Insurance Companies.

Be able to achieve complex financial negotiations with stakeholders, responsible for ensuring accurate pricing of our services.

Responsible for ensuring petty cash is recorded incorrectly.

Represent the private patient service at meetings, dealing with complaints, marketing etc

Be able to work to tight deadlines under pressure.

High level of analytical skills so can interpret numerical data and produce reports and graphs etc

Main duties of the job

Deal with day-to-day finance issues, initiating appropriate responses to provide patients, consultants and health insurance companies with required information, invoices in a friendly and professional manner.Receive telephone calls, accepting messages on behalf of members of the specialty team, taking appropriate action where necessary.Liaise with appropriate internal and external stakeholders ensuring all patients are authorised by health insurers or if fixed cost all payments are collected prior to admission.Type all forms of clinical correspondence as dictated by clinical staff, by use of audio or copy typing. Produce copies for appropriate agencies, filing copies in correct sequence, ensuring follow-up arrangements are in place, listing outstanding investigations on the hospital database system.Process financial data, being able to present information in spreadsheet and graph formats.Participate in team and Trust meetings as requested as Deputy Private Patient Manager.
