JOB SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Enfield Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team (ECRHTT) for a Band 7 Clinical Lead/Deputy Manager post.
The Enfield CRHTT is a 24 hour per day, 7 day per week service which provides urgent care for people experiencing mental health crisis as an alternative to hospital admission. The team views crisis as meaningful, a crossroads in someone's life. We draw on several different models to understand this including family/systemic perspectives and the recovery model. The CRHT is crucial in delivering urgent crisis resolution assessments and treatment for service users by assessing their needs and caring for them in the least restrictive environment. The service will also ensure effective gatekeeping of all service users referred to the service for admission to Hospital. The post holder will ensure a high-quality responsive service to service users and referrers.
Main duties of the job
The Clinical Lead/Deputy team manager post is central to delivering development and effective operational management of the CRHTT.
The post holder will be expected to collaborate closely with the Team Manager, Service Manager, Consultant Psychiatrist and Psychological Therapies Lead.
The post holder is accountable for supporting the team manager with the allocation, deployment, prioritization and delivery of the service and for implementing and reviewing systems, policies, standards and procedures that ensure the provision of high-quality services within frameworks agreed by the Trust.
The post holder will work closely with the Team Manager to maintain the day to day running of the service, providing senior clinical input and support to the team, playing a key role in building internal and external interfaces, and contributing to the ongoing development of the Crisis Telephone Service to further improve patient experience and outcomes.
As a Clinical Lead/Deputy Manager, you will provide and develop a working environment and culture of trust, openness and effective team working, which fosters high morale, commitment and optimum performance among all staff and promotes their well-being, professional and personal development in line with service needs.
You will be expected to work a flexible shift pattern across 7 days, although working nights is not required in this role

The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.

Job responsibilities
To manage the single point of contact of referrals for people who are in mental health crisis within the London boroughs of Barnet Enfield and Haringey.
1.1 Have managerial accountability for the delivery of quality service for users of the ECRHTT
1.2 Participate in the recruitment, selection & retention of staff
1.3 Managing CRHTT roster to ensure CRHTT is adequately staffed from within agreed establishment.
1.4 Assist team manager with line management and budgetary responsibility for clinicians and admin
staff working in CRHTT
1.5 Be responsible for effective clinical and managerial communication systems to, from and within the CRHTT.
1.6 Ensure effective Triaging and screening of referrals and management of inappropriate referrals.
1.7 Provide expert clinical leadership to ensure a high standard of service to referrers and guidance to CRHTT
1.8 Work closely and alongside all trust inpatient and community services to ensure best use of
resources
1.9 Work in partnership with the Internal Teams across the Trust as well as external referrers
1.10 Liaising with professional external referrers and developing relationships e.g., GPs, police etc.
1.11 Ensure that there are effective support and supervision processes for staff working in ECRHTT
1.12 Ensuring that there are robust Clinical Governance processes in CRHTT
1.13 Managing complaints within Trust timeframes
1.14 Coordination and delivery of data, provision of clinical statistics relating to ECRHTT activity as and when requested
1.15 Ensure a safe and effective working environment for staff
1.16 Ensure effective implementation of all local and trust wide policies.
1.17 Aim to establish local resolution of all complaints.
1.18 Assist with the induction of new staff
1.19 Carry out any duties as delegated by the team manager

Qualifications/ Registrations
Essential
- Registered with NMC as RMN, or Dip SW, or registered with HPC
- Mentorship qualification or equivalent
- First or higher degree in appropriate subject area to specialisation or equivalent
- Evidence of relevant post registration training
