We are really excited to be recruiting into a newly created Band 7 post within the renal dietetic team at Manchester Royal Infirmary, a large teaching hospital within Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, dynamic and experienced renal dietitian to join our supportive team comprising of an 8A Dietetic Clinical Team Lead, Band 7, 6 and 5 renal dietitians and a renal dietetic assistant.
You will have the opportunity to nutritionally manage all different types of renal patients including pre-dialysis, haemodialysis, PD, conservative management, EPS, transplant, and AKI. You will have a varied inpatient and outpatient caseload including complex renal inpatients. The renal team has a large outpatient service covering 7 haemodialysis satellite units and multiple weekly pre-dialysis, home haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis outpatient clinics. The post holder will take the lead in service evaluation and development projects. You will also be required to provide clinical supervision and direct line management to Band 5 and 6 renal dietitians within the team.
Main duties of the job
At Manchester Royal Infirmary, we have a well-established student training programme and you will be actively involved in student training with support to develop clinical supervisory skills. The post offers excellent facilities and support for continued professional development. It is the ideal opportunity for anyone wishing to develop their clinical skills whilst being able to contribute to clinical effectiveness within the Trust.
You will be encouraged to work as part of the renal multidisciplinary team and to participate in teaching, service development, academic and clinical meetings. A flexible attitude, excellent interpersonal and team working skills are essential along with an excellent knowledge of renal dietetics and nutrition support.
To apply for this post you must have a degree, postgraduate diploma or Master's Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and current HCPC registration.

- BSc. or MSc. in Dietetics or BSc. In relevant science plus Post Graduate Diploma or MSc in Dietetics
- Clinical Educators Course
- Completion of validated/nationally recognised post-graduate training or equivalent in the specialist area

- Significant postgraduate clinical experience which includes a reasonable amount of time working in a post incorporating the relevant specialty, following post-graduate experience as a Dietitian in a broad rotational post
