Newborn services understands that the role of the ANNP is integral to the safe and effective care of infants within the service. A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced ANNP to join the existing team of ANNP's. The successful candidate will be working within the medical role utilising their high levels of decision making when planning and delivering care to a variety of complex patients.

The NICU at ORC gives the opportunity to develop skills in in a variety of specialist areas such as surgery, metabolic, and cardiac whilst still providing care for preterm infants from 22/40 gestation. As an MCS post there is the opportunity to rotate to our Neonatal units at North Manchester and Wythenshawe.

As an MCS we have 109 cots across our 3 sites making us the largest Neonatal service in the UK. There are opportunities for everyone to develop interests in quality improvement projects amongst other quality roles.

Main duties of the job

Newborn services comprises of the NICU at the Oxford Road site and the Neonatal units at both Wythenshawe and North Manchester hospitals.Please see the full job description for more information about working with in Newborn services MCS.

Care for infants in ICU, HDU and SC.

Support the infants on the PNW and attend births and resuscitation situations when required.

Deliver high standards of clinical care utilising clinical skills.

Undertake procedures such as line insertion, intubation and LP.

Work as a non medical prescriber complying with NBS guidelines.
