We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Psychologist to join our Community CAMHS team! Working autonomously and collaboratively within a supportive team, you'll utilise your expertise in assessment, treatment, and intervention to provide high-quality specialist psychology services to our young people, their families, and carers.
You'll work alongside a dedicated team of professionals in a multidisciplinary setting, contributing to holistic and effective mental health care. This role involves managing a clinical caseload, providing supervision to assistant and trainee psychologists, as well as expert consultation to professionals across various settings.
You'll receive regular clinical supervision and have access to continuous professional development opportunities through postgraduate teaching and training. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to and be involved in cutting-edge research, service evaluation, and audit projects to shape our therapeutic approaches and policies, as well as local and national policy, whilst ensuring the highest standards of psychological care.
Main duties of the job
Providing quality driven psychological assessments and formulations for young people experiencing a range of mental health problems.
Using specialist psychological expertise to deliver a range of interventions to families and young people to meet their needs and goals, through individual, group work and consultation, in line with care pathways.
Being part of the MDT and providing consultation and developing psychological knowledge within the MDT.
Providing CAMHS assessments following referral to the service, and supporting the duty provision with the team.
Supervising and supporting the development of others in the team, including psychology undergraduate placement students, as well as trainee clinical psychologists and other staff members.

The final combination of Southern Health and Solent Trusts is anticipated to occur in July 2024, when the new organisation will be formed.
Our new Trust will continue to cater to the unique needs of different communities, making healthcare across the county more accessible, as well as offering staff more opportunities for career development, training and partnership working.

- Postgraduate doctoral level training in applied psychology or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996 or outside the UK including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology as approved by the HPC and professionally registered as a practitioner psychologist with the health professionals council.
