The post-holder is a key member of the Senior Management Team. The post-holder is accountable to the Head of clinical commissioning and will work closely with Team.
The post holder will provide effective leadership and management of the clinical commissioning team, driving innovation supporting the delivery of the Trust and ICS's commitment to deliver the ambition of the national learning disabilities and autism program (previously referred to as Transforming Care (TCP)) and national policies including Building the Right Support to ensure people, adults and children, are supported in the most appropriate setting to meet their needs.
The post holder will support in developing elements of the individual commissioning function within the Trust, coordinating individual commissioning across both the mental health, and learning disabilities directorates to ensure that everyone with learning disabilities and/or autism has individual plans for discharge and support within the community to prevent avoidable admission to inpatient mental health or inpatient learning disability services.

Main duties of the job
- As the Clinical Manager, the postholder will lead and manage the clinical teams, this includes the DSR, community, and discharge supporting delivery of the LDA program key priorities, including inpatient trajectories, and statutory responsibilities aligned to these delegated functions from the ICB.
- Ensuring the roles and responsibilities of team members are clearly defined, and accountability is clear.
- As clinical Manager the postholder will support innovative and creative ways to deliver our system program ambitions for LDA, working closely with system partners, encouraging challenge to ourselves to continually improve outcomes and efficiency's both as an organisation and system.
- The post holder will work closely with the LDA program lead to ensure delivery of KPIs for the program, primarily the inpatient trajectory (admission avoidance and discharge planning), 6-8 week checks, CETRs and DSR.
- The post holder is clinical leader for the clinical commissioning team and aligned to the program team with responsibility for collaboration and triangulation on quality issues for those services commissioned to support individuals.
