This vacancy is a full time Band 6 musculoskeletal physiotherapist working at the physiotherapy department at Colwyn Bay Community Hospital. You will have responsibility for supervising junior members of staff and students on placement.

You will join a large supportive innovative team.

The physiotherapy service in BCUHB offers a whole career pathway to Band 8A as a clinical advanced practitioner. Service improvement and development is encouraged and all staff have access to regular supervision, mentorship and training.

This is an opportunity to work in a large established and supportive team in a beautiful part of the UK.

Part time or job share applications will be considered.

Main duties of the job

Assessing and treatment of patients with musculoskeletal conditions.

Supervision and teaching of junior qualified staff, support staff and students on placement.

Involvement with inservice training and service development.

Participation in 7 day service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Evidence of CPD in Physiotherapy in the form of a detailed personal development portfolio
  • Postgraduate training courses


  • Membership of appropriate professional post-graduate training body
  • Relevant Special/Clinical interest group membership
  • Clinical educators course
  • Bronze IQT or equivalent



  • Significant Post Registration Experience
  • Evidence of core rotations


  • Experience of contribution to CNG or working parties
  • Experience in the relevant speciality
  • Experience of working in an NHS environment as physiotherapist and MDT/ multi-agency working where relevant



  • Excellent clinical reasoning skills in physiotherapy
