- To work as a member of the Talking TherapiesLeadership Team to deliver a quality and innovative service.
- To provide professional and clinical leadership to the CBT clinicians across the full Talking Therapiesfootprint.
- To take delegated responsibility as the aligned clinical lead for a designated locality.
- To work closely, utilising a co-production model, with designated Team Leaders to ensure the systematic provision of a high quality Talking TherapiesService across that Locality and ultimately across the LCFT footprint.
- To ensure that robust clinical supervision arrangements are in place for CBT clinicians across all Talking Therapiesteams.
- To provide a qualified specialist cognitive behavioural assessment and therapy service to adults with mild to moderate mental health problems, including those individuals with a greater degree of complexity.
- To lead on the delivery of Talking Therapiesservices including the development of group interventions and other psychological therapies appropriate for CBT therapists and which might be available via various mediums.
Main duties of the job
Clinical Lead Cognitive Behavioural Therapist
You will provide leadership to support the Talking Therapies services to meet the contractual commissioning requirement to provide high quality primary care psychological interventions in accordance with clinical best practice guidelines ensuring compliance with national targets and KPI's.
The role offers the opportunity to gain considerable experience in service development, managerial, and additional supervisory skills.This leadership team provide clinical and strategic oversight of the Talking Therapies services across the ICB footprint and link with Locality Service Managers, Team Leaders, clinicians and administrators.
All applicants must have current BABCP therapist accreditation as an essential requirement. We are looking for applicants with substantial experience of working as a high intensity CBT therapist within a Talking Therapies service, working with complex client presentations, and providing formal clinical supervision to Talking Therapies qualified staff and to trainees.

- Master's Degree in relevant subject or equivalent knowledge & experience

- Clearly demonstrable significant increase in depth and breadth of knowledge in relation to Cognitive Behaviour Therapy theory and practice
- Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, complex, highly technical and/or clinically sensitive information to clients, their families, carers and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS.
- Knowledge of the TALKING THERAPIES model and a willingness to develop the service clinically.
Experience
Essential
- Significant experience delivering specialist Cognitive Behaviour Therapy assessment and treatment of patients
- Experience of working with a wide variety of clients that reflect the full range of clinical severity including maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems, verbal abuse and the threat of physical abuse.
- Experience and knowledge of supervision Experience of delivering group work.
