Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult Eating Disorders

This post is eligible for a relocation package of £8K and a welcome package of £15K (payable in two payments during the first year)

We are excited to be looking for a Consultant college to join our Adult Eating Disorders team. You will be based in Long Leys in the beautiful city of Lincoln located within close proximity to the University of Lincoln Medical School with whom the Trust has close links supporting Academic Programmes, Research and Development, and the Sycamore Centre in historic Grantham.

The role will consist of 10 PAs as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult Eating Disorders, and you will engage with the development of your Job Plan.

The Trust has free parking and a relocation package. We are able to support commuting with flexible hours and have remote working in place which can facilitate working from other bases including home where this meets the needs of the service.

Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register (Old Age Psychiatry) or a trainee within 6 months of completing their CCT. Section 12 (2) approval and Approved Clinician status are also essential to the role.

Eligibility

Essential
• MRCPsych or MRCPsych equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists
• On the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of completing CCT
• Ability to relate to service users, carers, and relatives
• Full GMC Registration
• Section 12(2) approval, Approved Clinician status
• Management skills
• DBS clearance
• Widespread and detailed experience of assessment and management of patients in adult psychiatry
• Ability to offer expert clinical independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
• Ability to travel within the geographical work area to meet the needs of the service

Desirable
• Publications in the field of psychiatry
• 3 years supervised training in an appropriate training programme
• Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management
• Teaching experience
