The team at Basildon University Hospital are currently looking for an existing band 7 Physiotherapist ready for a new challenge or a band 6Physiotherapist with acute medical and respiratory experience who is looking to take the next step in their career.
The successful applicant will work alongside other band 7 Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists providing leadership and management to this large therapy team.
We are a supportive therapy team looking to recruit a physiotherapist with a broad range of experience in managing acute ward work to join our team. The role involves working as part of a multi-disciplinary team on the acute inpatient wards.As the role is a band 7 role strong leadership skills and the ability to engage others, with a proactive approach to service development is required. You will also demonstrate a strong commitment to a person centred approach in line with the Trust Values and Behaviours.Together with the team leaders in our other in-patient specialities, you will support the Therapies Managers in the strategic and operational planning for the department.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the job include
To provide standard and non-standard Therapy assessments, interventions, rehabilitation and advice using evidence-based, patient centered principles.
To work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure timely and safe discharge from the general medical and specialist medical wards.
In conjunction with other senior team members, professional leads and heads of therapies actively monitor, develop, and contribute to the overall development of the team and service
