Are you an experienced equality/diversity professional with a background in delivering on equality, diversity or inclusion in a large complex organisation?

We are seeking a Inclusion Project Manager to help embed our We Belong strategy, with an opportunity to be creative and think differently. The Inclusion Project Manager is expected to design and implement project infrastructure and oversee the day to day delivery of these critical workforce programmes.

The project manager will be part of the well-established Inclusion Centre team, working in a matrix way across multiple projects. They are also expected to work independently and use their initiative to problem solve, scope best practice, and develop relationships across the trust, escalating where required.

Main duties of the job

Act as an advisor to staff on EDI issues for across the Trust.

Define, design and deliver complex projects across the EDI and People agenda, building in evaluation approaches, governance, and co-designing interventions to ensure we achieve our operational objectives.

Raising the profile of equality, diversity and inclusion across the organisation and building capacity at all levels to deliver on equality objectives

Co-ordinate Equality & Diversity activity specifically workforce related programmes, which align with the Trust WeBelong strategy, Assisting the Inclusion Team with Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES), Workforce Disability Equality Standard (WDES), Reverse Mentoring, Diverse Panels, Staff Networks, Accessible Information Standard (AIS), Equality Delivery Standard (EDS2),and any other EDI related frameworks as appropriate.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Education to Masters level or related transferable experience
  • Excellent IT skills advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of equality, diversity and inclusion policy agenda, legislation and best practice
  • Highly developed specialist knowledge in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion work procedures, underpinned by theory and experience


Desirable

  • Engaged with the wider EDI agenda locally or nationally


Experience

Essential

  • Experience and/or demonstrated interest in improving workforce equality with knowledge of the WRES and WDES
  • Experience of planning and organising complex activities or programmes of work Plan and organising a broad range of complex activities formulisation, adjusting plans and strategies
  • Experience of implementing EDI initiatives, including frameworks and standards
  • Experience of developing and delivering training to a wide audience Ability to identify/research new developments in EDI and translate these into practical applications
  • Experience of reviewing requests for funding and liaising with the Supplies team to source products and supplies and authorise small spend against budget for items


Knowledge

Essential

  • Specialist knowledge of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
  • Knowledge of the development of EDI theory and practice.
  • Experience of providing project management support to senior managers and focusing on benefits realisation and supporting change
  • Experience of communicating complex issues with staff and managers at all levels.
  • Experience of working autonomously within an unpredictable environment.
